Currently owned by the Unification Church, the utopian center has been the site of several experiments in communal living for over 80 years.  lyeberry #13: luckyday reflects on the sense of belonging and comfort these inclusive communities provide, as well as the dichotomy often produced between the believers and the outside world. Through quilting, editing, and other handmade gestures of care, lyeberry suggests that while beliefs come and go, the communal gatherings and shared moments are the valuable experiences of all societies, utopian or not. June 19, 2011 Berlin DE Lyeberry #10: a dinner party On Sunday, June 19th 2011, Lyeberry held a dinner party  in Berlin to celebrate the types of encounters that happen over sharing a meal.     The three-course menu was inspired by reinterpretations  of Berlin's historical and contemporary environment, as  well as the people who have immigrated to and been driven  away. In a candle-lit living  room in bushwick, we will listen collectively to 10-minute sound compilations.
